The 4HV series manual valve is a pneumatic control component produced by AIRTAC, mainly used for cylinder direction change and position control. According to different models, their functional characteristics vary, mainly divided into two types: two position four-way valves and three position four-way valves
Basic Structure and Function
All 4HV series manual valves have four interfaces:
P port: air inlet, connected to the air source.
A and B ports: exhaust ports, respectively connected to the upper and lower chambers of the cylinder, control the extension and retraction of the cylinder.
R port: exhaust port, connected to muffler, used to discharge compressed air from the cylinder
Two position four-way valve (such as 4HV310-10)
Function: Control the cylinder to perform reciprocating motion, that is, the cylinder fully extends (to the head) and fully retracts (to the head) to two fixed positions
Application scenario: Suitable for situations where only the cylinder needs to switch between two extreme positions.
Three position four-way valve (such as 4HV330-10)
Function: In addition to controlling the reciprocating motion of the cylinder, it can also achieve the cylinder stopping at any position (middle sealing function), that is, it can stop the cylinder at the middle position of the up and down stroke
Application scenario: Suitable for situations where precise control of cylinder stop position is required, such as positioning, clamping, etc.
